A TRIBUTE TO IRELAND'S GODS OF BLUES AND ROCK FEATURING THE ORIGINAL GARY MOORE BAND & SINNERBOY'S TRIBUTE TO RORY GALLAGHER

Thursday 14th September

THE ORIGINAL GARY MOORE BAND feat. MICK SIMPSON
Gary Moore is acknowledged as one of the finest musicians that the British Isles has ever produced. In a career that dates back to the 1960s, Moore graced the line-ups of several notable rock bands including Thin Lizzy, Colosseum II and Skid Row to name but three and fans will long remember the short lived but inspirational power trio BBM of Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker and Gary Moore.

Since his sad and untimely passing in 2011 Moore fans have been deprived of the sounds that made Gary so highly respected but not now. THE ORIGINAL GARY MOORE BAND is a line up of musicians, all of whom were original players in The Gary Moore band) who have reformed to bring the music of Gary Moore back to the live stage. Augmented with a special headline guest in Mick Simpson (Elkie brooks, Bill Wyman’s Rhythm Kings, John Parr, Snowy White and Alvin Lee) the set they provide will highlight some wonderful memories for Gary Moore fans both in terms of musical quality and stage performance.

Band line up:
Vic Martin (keys), With Gary Moore 1998 - 2011.
Pete Rees (bass), With Gary Moore from 1998 - 2011.
Graham Walker (drums), Worked with Gary Moore 1989 - 1996, and again in 2000. Has played on various Gary Moore albums, and also live touring.

And featuring on lead guitar Mick Simpson.

SINNERBOY
William Rory Gallagher was an Irish blues – rock guitarist, songwriter and band leader, born in Ballyshannon, County Donegal and raised in Cork, he was quickly recognised as one of the world’s greatest exponents of the genre. Renowned for his charismatic live performances and dedication to his craft, his career was cut tragically short when, at the age of only 47, he succumbed to liver problems and passed from this earth.
In June of 1996, one year after the death of Rory Gallagher, Sinnerboy played their first "TRIBUTE TO RORY" gig in their home town of Manchester. Now 20 years on it has become an annual pilgrimage for thousands of Rory fans in the UK. The annual British tribute organised by Barry is now back in his home town of Manchester.
This ever popular event has raised the profile of Sinnerboy throughout Europe where they are now recognized as the most authentic Rory tribute band around.
